The Senior Technical Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives – Delivery Optimization & Insights role is unique in the Direct to Consumer Technology organization and we’re looking for a strong senior technical program manager and data analyst who can not only find solutions to known problems, but also help us discover the problems we should be tackling. You will identify, analyze, and report on key measures that allow us to understand how we’re tracking against our product and technology roadmaps and inform decisions surrounding how to best optimize delivery of strategic initiatives. You will provide a critical role in helping all teams working on the HBO Max product understand what is possible and assist in shaping how we prioritize, staff, and execute on the realization of becoming the first choice in digital entertainment for our customers.
Find the problems we should be focused on
Develop executive dashboards to track overall project delivery health
Understand the “so what” by providing actionable insights for Direct to Consumer Technology teams and leadership
Get familiar with our data by exposing the organization to trends and patterns
Forecast delivery for effective project planning
Visualize technical roadmaps across multiple engineering teams
Develop templates for project planning, scheduling, and monitoring
Use data to inform strategic decision making through custom analyses
Assist the Strategic Initiative Technical Program Management team with other project-related activities as needed
5+ years of experience in data analysis / technical program management or a similar role (e.g., project management, business analyst)
Passion for driving continuous improvement and developing measurement frameworks
First-rate analytical skills to deep dive into project performance metrics and develop meaningful insights
Experience with agile software development methodologies
Interest in researching / piloting new data analysis methodologies and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to target communications up, down, and across the organization
Project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple, sometimes competing, priorities
Emotional intelligence to lead through influence, while promoting a culture of teamwork and inclusiveness
