Warner Bros. Consumer Products Inc. seeks a Manager for the North American Sales and Retail Business Development team. The Manager will work with the Director to develop and execute the strategic sales plans for national retail account. The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of initiatives to drive retail placement and maximize our brands. The manager will serve as the retail expert to key national accounts, licensees, and, as requested, provide information, direction, and consultation with the goal to drive incremental sales across WBCP licensed product categories.
Works with the Director on developing business plans, strategies and revenue goals for the retail account plans.
Develops opportunistic sales strategies in collaboration with licensee’s and retailers.
Identifies white space opportunities to drive incremental revenue.
Communicates WBCP licensing and marketing strategies to retail.
Aids in the negotiating and support the implementation of retail programs.
Analyzes program performance and return on the investment.
Works in conjunction with the Director with appropriate retail personnel (e.g. buyers, marketing, planning).
Organizes and analyzes retail sales data and information for Target and determine merchandise implications.
Manages and maintains weekly team reports, recaps & sales team documents.
Summarizes retailer feedback to appropriate stakeholders.
Completes any ad hoc projects within the assigned timeline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail-related buying, product development and/or sales at a manufacturer, retailer or licensor. Entertainment industry experience recommended.
Strong knowledge of the licensing industry and of licensed merchandise across softlines, hardlines, and toys.
Experience working with Target a plus.
Strong knowledge of the US-Based retail landscape.
Strong knowledge of solution selling and marketing principles.
Proven ability to organize and analyze data and information and develop actionable recommendations.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Proven and effective presentation skills.
Proven and effective interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with personnel at all levels of retail organization and internally at WBCP.
Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with Target’s Partners On-Line is a plus
Construct deck pitch presentations in collaboration with (Category/Franchise/Marketing)
