Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst for the FCRA Participations department. The Senior Financial Analyst position will be a member of a dynamic team focused on research, analysis and developing new tools and methods to accomplish participation reporting through involvement in system design and testing and improving business processes.
The Daily
Performs analysis and research including analyzing various reports from multiple systems including SAP to identify issues and explore solutions to resolve the root cause of the issues. Communicates with a broad set of individuals within FCRA to resolve identified issues.
Identify and document areas for process and system improvements as it relates to automating manual activities. Facilitate system enhancements during requirements gathering phases and user acceptance testing and regression testing phases.
Prepare and review participation statements. This requires understanding the product life cycle for all Warner Bros. properties including understanding the revenue and expense cycle associated with the domestic and foreign distribution of all products (i.e. Feature Film, Cable & Broadcast Television including SVOD, Home Entertainment including digital offering, Consumer Products and Games.
Perform ad hoc projects including but not limited to presentations to management and staff, buyout calculations, etc.
Support the development and facilitation of department wide participations training.
The Essentials
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. (Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred).
2-4 years relevant experience in a finance, accounting, auditing or IT environment required.
Business analyst or financial analyst experience a plus.
Public or private audit and/or consulting experience a plus.
Knowledge of GAAP vs. cash-based accounting principles a plus.
Participations and/or entertainment industry experience a plus.
Experience with system implementations and testing a plus.
Experience in a large corporate environment a plus.
Strong to expert competency with MS Excel and Word required.
SAP experience a plus.
Must have ability for progressive responsibility/promotion within the organization.
Must have strong mathematical and algebra skills.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Must be able to read and understand legal agreements.
Must be able to adapt and learn new technology.
