Burbank Television Enterprises LLC seeks a Director, Sales Strategy and Media Analysis for the MR Syndication department. Position serves as a strategic partner with senior management in the support of current business models, and future business unit growth strategies. Responsible for providing marketplace analysis across syndication, cable, SVOD, AVOD, Social and emerging platforms. Responsible for ROI models and pacing indices for sales, marketing and planning strategies for current and future businesses. Position is tasked with leveraging Nielsen Ratings, CPM data, and industry data to create media valuation models, business development analysis, and reconciliation reporting for business units throughout the Warner Bros. Television. This position is rooted in strategic distribution finance, responsible for rating estimates and program lineups that are critical in the sales strategy of Warner Bros. Television and Telepictures’ programming.
Manage large scale ROI models and financial forecasts and budgets ($20 million plus); participate in business proposal designs, development and ROI projections.
Leverage knowledge of competitive metrics including Nielsen Ratings and CPM’s, media models and business financial models to structure and develop financial databases, forecasting applications and competitive assessments.
Analyze and leverage Nielsen ratings and CPM metrics to estimate business growth potential. Provide executive summaries to senior management to highlight trends and problem areas.
Generate and maintain Nielsen Rating and VPVH estimates and financial forecasts for all Warner Bros television programs based on established media rules.
Manage extensive contractual rating and financial analysis and forecasts; including Network, Cable and Broadcast Station Group transactions.
Evaluate competitor's programs landscape using Nielsen Ratings, CPM information, and industry metrics.
Regularly analyze local market lineup changes/discrepancies, estimate impact on National Ratings, internal budget estimates, and selling estimates.
Responsible for developing and implementing “Excel and Modeling Best Practices” in Media Research Department to effectively interface with Finance operations throughout Warner Bros.
Develop innovative initiatives to best understand monetization metrics across existing and emerging platforms.
Perform other related duties or projects as assigned.
BS/BA in TV/Film, business, research, communications, psychology or related field required.
Minimum 10 years related experience performing in the same or similar capacity.
Must have a keen understanding of the media business with a minimum 10 years extensive experience in both linear and or digital media valuations and models.
Comprehensive understanding of network, cable, syndication, SVOD business including ROI models, sales process, product positioning, competitive landscape, risk assessment and implications of market forces.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to foster productive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
Ability to communicate effectively and advise senior management on strategy and competitive environment.
Track record of working independently on multiple mission-critical projects.
Interest in and passion for the evolving entertainment landscape, including knowledge of key and emerging SVOD services and Social Video Services.
Excellent analytical, creativity, problem solving, negotiation, conflict management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Outstanding excel modeling skills.
Must be able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
